Callison, Dorn, Thomason & Knott, P.A. traces its origin to 1936 when G.P. Callison, Sr. was admitted to the South Carolina Bar. Between stints in the military and in politics as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives and State Senate, G.P. Callison, Sr. and Watson Dorn – who joined him in 1952 – established a law firm dedicated to providing general legal services to the residents of Greenwood County and the surrounding area. Today, Callison, Dorn, Thomason & Knott, P.A. attorneys individually concentrate in more specific practice areas – but collectively the firm continues the general practice tradition. Though the client base of Callison, Dorn, Thomason & Knott, P.A. primarily comes from Greenwood, Saluda, McCormick, Edgefield, Abbeville, Laurens and Newberry counties – firm attorneys have handled legal matters throughout the State of South Carolina.
