BRADLEY W. KNOTT was born in Henderson, North Carolina, on September 27, 1965;
however, he grew up in Greensboro, NC. He was a cum laude graduate of Clemson University
in 1988 where he was also a member of several honor societies, including Phi Kappa Phi.
He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1991 and became a member
of the South Carolina Bar later that same year. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Knott
joined CALLISON DORN LAW FIRM in 1991 as an associate and was named partner in 1995.
In addition to the South Carolina Bar, he is admitted to practice in the United States District Court
and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Knott became a certified family court mediator in 2011.
Away from the office, Mr. Knott is an avid golfer and an active member of St. Mark United
Methodist Church where he has served as chairperson of the Staff Parish Relations Committee,
been a member of the Finance Committee and Church Council, and attended the Annual
Conference as a lay member representing St. Mark. He has been a lecturer at Piedmont
Technical College in Greenwood and a regular speaker on family law issues during the
Trial Lawyers Association's annual "Law School for Non-Lawyers." He also Serves as
a Committee Member for the South Carolina Bar Resolution of
Fee Disputes Board for the Eighth Judicial Circuit.
Practice Areas: Mr. Knott focuses his practice in the area of family law, handling cases
including divorce, child custody, child support, guardian ad litem work and adoptions.
He now devotes a part of his practice to family court mediation as well. He served as attorney for Saluda County from 2000 until 2007 and began serving as the
attorney for the Town of Ware Shoals in 2008. In addition, he handles other civil litigation
matters as well as probate work and small business incorporations.
