LOCAL ATTORNEY ELECTED TO LAWYER GOVERNING BODY

G. P. Callison, Jr., of the CALLISON DORN LAW FIRM, of Greenwood, South Carolina, was recently re-elected to the House of Delegates of the South Carolina Bar Association.  The House of Delegates controls and formulates policy for the South Carolina Bar, which is composed of all licensed attorneys in the State of South Carolina.  Mr. Callison will serve as a representative of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, composed of Greenwood, Newberry, Laurens and Abbeville Counties.  His two year term of office will begin July 1, 2009.  He has been a member of the House of Delegates since 1993.

Mr. Callison is a 1977 graduate of Clemson University and received a Masters in Public Administration from Florida State University in 1978.  He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1982 and has been in private practice in Greenwood since that time – concentrating in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury, real estate, probate and government law.  CALLISON DORN LAW FIRM is located at 215 Park Avenue, Greenwood, South Carolina.

Piedmont Tech's Foundation recently recognized the C.Y. Thomason Foundation for its cumulative contributions in support of the Building Construction Technology program. Recent contributions resulted in the company earning the recognition of Sponsor on the Piedmont Tech Foundation's Wall of Honor, which recognizes donors to the college.
